I've been using Universal Sim v550 on Orange UK for nearly 2 months. Lost signal probably twice in that time but turning off and on again and returns to service. 3G works but takes about 10 mins to activate/deactivate for some reason. Calls/SMS perfect. GPS works sometimes but not sure if that is satellite coverage or affected by universal sim. Any other questions let me know.

Thanks for the info could you answer a few questions
Does the sim need to be cut ?
Can the sim be updated if so do you need to buy something to reprogram it and is it easy to do ?
Can you remove your sim from the phone without any problems or are you using some tape to help remove it ?
Where did you get yours from ?

I got it from co2capsuless.co.uk for £12 including next day delivery. You need a pkey sim reader/writer to update the firmware which I got shipped from HK but you can probably get it from UK or EU if you look. Very easy to do and instructions on website. The software you can download from universalsim.com. You can use a hole punch to cut the sim card. I don't need tape and it slides in and out as easily as if it has just a normal sim in but you do need to sand the sim card down to about half its orignal thickness and the black chip on the card adapter as well so it is all flush with the sim tray sides. Don't force it in at all when testing or it will not come out. You can check by gently trying to put in - there should be no reistance at all until the top of the sim tray clips in. Be careful and check all the guides.
