hi, I have a question. I'm planning to get any turbo-sim, and I am still searching. I've heard universil sim is the way to go but it does require sim cutting, and I do not want to cut my sim card at all. Now i know that i-smartphone does not need to require sim cutting at all, and that I should get the black one. Now, i know you can use it without having it to jailbreak it, but the only thing that it won't work is syncying it to itunes.
Now my iPhone 3G is locked to At&t. Say I want to use T-mobile using the turbo sim (which I know it will not sync itunes with that card), now if i take off the t-mobile sim card along with the turbo sim card and just inserting my original AT&T card back into my iPhone 3G, will I have any problems syncing to itunes?

I have no experience with that sim adapter, but I do know that if you use pwnage tool or winpwn and select that you do not have a contract which an iphone provider, when it makes the custom firmware it will bypass actiavtion and you will be able to sync with itunes no problem, no matter what sim you have in there..

Stay away from i-smartphone because you might get an yellow one, which does not work. The black one is supposed to be working. I don't know how well. Generally, they don't have good reputation. That's why eBay is full of them. As for "TurboSIM," the original, it does require cutting, quite a big cut. It has a huge chip. There are only one or two seller on ebay, but don't search for TurboSIM. Everyone calls it TurboSIM. Search for "BLADOX". That's the company that makes them. The TurboSIMS are incapable of 3G according to another user on this forum.
Universal SIM is supposed to work well. I have not seen the new design. I would wait until the sites have the no cut new design. Gevey 3G is rumoured to work well. I'll have one for testing in a few days.
I am also testing Virgin SIM. I like its design, not only because it's no cut, but it also has a piece of copper at the bottom making it hard and prevents bending. I would never have had to open the phone if I had a virgin sim, the day I bought it. I think virgin is on the right track.
If you get one that is soft at the bottom, you will need to to wrap the adapter, the tray and the sim card with a piece of tape because the SIM connectors will bend it backwards in the middle, and you'll ruin it. If you force it, it will jam in the phone, and you'll have to open the phone. Opening the phone is a simple process, but for some reason, my cable socket at the bottom of the iphone is a little crooked on the right side. I don't know if it was like this from the begining or if it's because i opened the phone. I'm not sure what's pushing it or not holding it down. It's only 1mm. It does not affect operation. There is a piece of rubber above the microphone. That may be pushing it up.

thanks for the reply. I did order i-smartphone anyways, so I'll have to see which one I get, I'm pretty sure I'm going to get the black one. if not, I'm going to have to return it and search for a better one. thx.

Um...okay I know that, but what I want to know is, since my iphone is not jailbroken, and I don't plan on jailbreaking it YET. My question is, if i am using the unlock sim card adaptor and plug into my itunes, i know that it will not sync, as someone have told me. Now what I want to know is if i switch it back to the orignial AT&T sim card without the adaptor, will I be able to sync back to itunes again? or will it not sync anymore once I use the unlock sim adaptor? thx.

it will sync if you put the old sim in. i think that there is an itunes hack for the syncing problem.

Okay great, I hope Universal SIM comes up with a new one without the sim cutting. I've heard about the Gevey 3G. Since you said you are getting one, can you later (once tested), post your results to me? Because I am considering getting Gevey 3G as well, (that is if the i-smartphone isn't working, and I did e-mail the seller, since it hasn't been shipped yet, so yea I am waiting for their response).

To me it was worth it as i now finally have a reliable 3G phone. I already spend $$ to sims that didnt work, im just happy to finally have a working one now! But whats worth it to me, doesnt have to be worth it to you! They dont send a programmer. it does suck that they sell the sims for $20,- in the memberarea. i paid $49,- But im happy since it works!
Ill be selling my old 2G iPhone :-)
