universal-sim v5.50
At&t phone on Orange UK universal-sim v5.50
Standard out of the box firmware 2.0, not jailbroken.
Calls in/out = working
edge = working
Caller ID = working
SMS = working
GPS = either not working or very very slow
3G = working after turning on 3G, then turning phone off and on again. (same process to turn off 3G.)
Been working perfectly for a month now. Can't sync with itunes though. It says the iphone you are attempting to activate is not valid even in airplane mode even though the phone is activated and is fully functional?? Tried using Quickpwn to activate it but it crashes everytime and I can't restore custom firmware without itunes recognising it.

Jimbeam2, why don't you try out new version 5.50?
regards
I haven't received my pkey yet. But I'm not in a rush because v5.00 is working fine so far. If it stops working then I will update it.

Take the sim out and pwn it. Put it in recovery or DFU mode and restore to a custom FW. Keep the sim out the whole time.

thats a waste of time
go to my v550 review:
http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/show...&postcount=406
download the lockdownd file, and place it in /usr/libexec on iphone, make sure it has 755 or 555 permissions
Now your phone will be able to sync with itunes without a restore

Tough one. Just go to a library with a flash drive and the .exe from the website and run it.

I've ordered the Universal SIM on Saturday and got it today. Unfortunately, I can't get it in. It keeps getting bent backwards in the middle at the bottom as I try to push it in. Is there a latch in there? I don't want to break it nor have it stuck in there.

My tray is stuck. It's not in. It's 90% out. But something is holding it, and it won't come out. I can't push it in nor pull it out. I don't want to break it. Any ideas?

i would buy the sim from any site, but some say there are people selling the wrong sims...

Open the LCD and take the sim out.
It's simple.
Open two screws at the bottom, then use a suction cup to pull up the LCD.
No damage to the at all. Not even a scratch.
You can search for a video on Youtube.
You need to tape Universal sim and your sim together. If you can't put it in, you are doing it wrong.
