really quickly made a spreadsheet of around 5 pages of latest results:
http://iphone.ranova.org/sims.html
if\when I get time, I will update it
It is a pain to update, if someone could setup a database like:
http://www.360drives.com/list?v_coun...&v_perpage=250
it would allow user input and sortability.

Can you tell me where i can get the Tornadosim? It seems to be the one and only sim which is working in germany with vodafone...
But on TornadoSim.net they say only iphone 1.1.3 /1.1.4 are supported...
On gsm-traders.com there is nothing about the tornadosim. please help =)

As for the black i-smartphone, I will fill in the blanks for you (on Vodafone Egypt). All services work as long as you dont need to change towers. If you do, you will get No Service until you put the sim in an unlocked phone and get signal. I have been using it this way for well over 2 weeks without issue. Also, network selection works if you wait about 2 mins before trying.
Personally, I have found its not really an issue if you have 3G turned off, as they use 900MHz GSM which has pretty good range for one tower, but 2100MHz 3G has such limited range its not practical unless you never leave one room.
