[REQ] *SIM Programing
I've been browsing for hours, so if this is already out there, please point me in the right direction.
So... I'm looking to buy an ***SIM option and this far ahead in the game I think (I believe...) pretty much all solutions do more or less the same, so price-wise, I think I'll stick to a "cheap" alternative but, since the cat and mouse game is non-stop, I decided to go with an upgradable version, which leaves me with this options:
- Turbo-SIM ($$$)
- Hyper-Card ($$)
- Hyper-SIM ($)
- Anything else??? (Please advice.)
So, I boiled it down to the Hyper-SIM. I even contacted a seller who is quoting me 12 units x $25 ea. This guy responded a Q&A e-mail I sent confirming:
- These ARE iPhone 1.1.2 BL 4.6 compatible
- WILL work with 1.1.3 when jailbreak is available
- They ARE upgradable (programable)
- They DON'T come pre-programed
So I'm guessing I'm going to need to "program" these suckers in order to work with them, BUT:
I can't find any info anywhere on how to program the Hyper-SIM? Or what is needed... Can someone help me out? Tutorial???
I *think* I need a SIM writer (such as SIM Master4 USB), and I wouldn't mind getting one!
Thanks in advance!
No one knows?!?
C'mon, there must be someone here who has programed a Hyper-SIM at some point! People have been discussing these for months now!
At this point, I wouldn't recommend spending a lot of money on a TurboSim, because there is a high chance *sim methods will not work in 1.1.3 and future releases. So better get a cheap solution for 1.1.2, and throw it away once/if a software unlock is found.
How can he be sure that his card will work with 1.1.3? All tests from people on this forum with TurboSim and therelike have been negativ as far as I can tell.

Yeah the bottom line was.. you can't program a Hypersim. You'd have to remove the IC chip and copy the software from IC of one what works as a non-at&t sim solution and remove the IC from the one that needs programming, program it and resolder it on. Its not a practical solution. Many people tried every method to make this work, but what I described is the only way it would work. Oh and that would only work if the IC on the one you want to read is unlocked so the programming on it can be read. No one ever got that far. But that explains why you can buy the ones that 'need programming' to work for $25.. and the ones that work for 1.1.2 cost $70-100.
Right now cheapest and best solution is the 'turbo-sim' like next sim, x-sim, etc. Those can be found for $30, need no programming. If they work with 1.1.3 (as no one will know for sure untli a real jailbroken and activated 1.1.3 is tested) then great. If not then spend another $30 when a new one is released with different programming to work with 1.1.3.
The thing I like about it.. you're not messing with the iPhone at all. You take it out if you ever have problems with the iPhone and send it back for waranty etc. If people had used cards like this frmo the very beginning.. there wouldn't be so many, 'no sim', 'no imei', 'no wifi' problems that people seem to have run into with some of the past ghetto software fixes. If a good stable proven software fix is every out them maybe I'll think about it in the meantime I'm happy with smoething that is cheap, easy and works 100%.
If you need help find a good xxsim for a cheap price pm me.
Hope that helps.
