Hi, Thanks for this awesome list. I want to get either the stealthsim or possibly the hypersim. I'm leaning towards the hypersim except I've read in some places that some of these "sim freers" kill the iphone battery quicker. Is this true for anyone right now who are using these sim piggybacks? I have no reason not to grab a hypersim if it does not hinder the the battery. I tried looking all over but i'm wondering if anyone here using the hypersim knows. I want a stealthsim but 125USD is a hefty price tag. I'm on fido in canada btw. Thanks for any info.

though i had a question left: Your overview is saying that hypercard is programmable, but i couldnt find any information about that... you got any link? Cause if its realy programmable, it would be the perfect solution for me, even better then the original turbosim!

Also, I have e-mailed that KingSim guy and he doesn't speak English, he relies on Google translator to communicate.

It's cheap, 40.00 USD but he ships through DHL for 57.00 USD. I prefere buying a StealthSim rather than KingSim.

OK, in the post you quoted, I think its not clear yet which card bezman has: a magic sim v15, v16 or a Hypercard, so that conclusion is totally not valid. He actually writes in the another thread, twice, that he thinks he has a Hypercard: http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/show...&postcount=147 , so much for his 'magic sim doesn't work' statement.

Second I think the issue of IMSI/ICCID switching hadn't yet been brought up as a valid concern by mr.thoughcriminal (http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/show...&postcount=156) and it seems bezman was still following initial useless instruction about simply plugging in IMSI/ICCID/KI values into the magic sim.

So yes, the magic sim solution is non existent right now but there is potential that it could with skilled programmers working on it. Check this thread for details on where the magic sim is at: http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=18925

It seems that the first fellow who posted about the magic sim working (bigbuckz) didn't have his facts straight and told people to go out and buy a v16, which was non programmable and failed to perform as expected. A lot of steam was lost there as a result and people lost hope in pursuing this unlock method.

However moving past that initial mess, there seems to be a potential that v15, which is reprogrammable, could be programmed into working like a hypercard or turbo sim in the sense that it will perform the necessary functions to trick the iphone and log onto your cellular network.

The magic sim v15 has a piece of software written to program it. Its unknown whether it will prove useful or not because I believe nobody has received and played around with a v15 card yet. Fresh_Dutch, with some encouragement, is still pursuing the magic sim path. After his trials with a v16 also produced no results, he awaits his v15 to arrive to continue with his trials. I also await a v15 which I think will arrive well after Christmas as I went el cheapo on shipping ($10 total cost!)

Why pursue this path when there are so many sim solutions that already work? Well if someone can indeed program the v15 to unlock the iphone, then you have a solution that will survive updates ie. like the turbosim @ at a fraction of the cost of current solutions. The hypercard also seems that it could also be reprogrammed by the right minds working on it but unlike the v15, no software is available for it & it costs a lot more money.

So once more: THE MAGIC SIM SOLUTION IS CURRENTLY NON EXISTENT but shouldn't be completely discarded yet because its path to iphone unlockedness still seems to be open.
