    Default Problem with TurboSIM Reset

    Hi there,

    I planned to reset my TURBOSIM, due to problems (after approx 3 min, NO SIM INSERTED messages appear).

    Thats what I did: launch ssh connect and then the commands:

    # launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
    # turbo-reset
    initializing modem
    AT+CPMS="SM","SM"
    ERROR
    modem initiated

    MY PROBLEM:
    there ist no further message as OK or ERROR. the process just hangs.

    Anyone a clue what to do ???

    Thanks and happy new iphone-year

    Instead of the software approach, use the TPIN as outlined on the card which came with the turbosim:

    a.) enable the SIM pin (if necessary, e.g. for EPLUs)
    b.) when asked for the 4 digit SIM pin, enter the 8 digits TPIN

    Although an error is reported, the Turbosim is reset (which can be verified: the retry counter is still 3 as the Turbosim intercepts the input before the regular pin check is done)

    thanks,
    i did so, BUT:
    when I enter
    turbo-info after the reset, the process till hangs...

    or do i need to pre-configure the turbosim before the next programming?

    Seems to be a problem with the baudrate I faced several times:

    use the following:

    turbo-info -b57600

    or

    turbo-info -b57600 -v

    and wait for approx. 30 seconds, with -v you should see detailed infos about request and responses.

    Then turbo-app should work too.

    Thanks,
    i tried, it seems not really a success.
    the reply after the command:

    initializing modem
    1 -> ATV1
    1 <-
    1 -> ATE1
    1 <-
    1 -> AT+CPMS="SM","SM"

    remark: when i restart the iphone, i always get the message : WRONG SIM CARD (in german).
    I inserted AT&T and Turbosim at the moment

    UPDATE: NOW IT SEEMS to work. i made a hard reset before

    THANK YOU !!!

    So,
    turbo-info and turbo-app worked fine, due to the 57600 baud rate.

    No the next chanllenge:
    my manual says:
    Restart your iPhone
    On your iPhone go to Settings -> Phone -> SIM Applications -> Apple Saft -> Set -> Accept

    But i dont see this menu on my phone, only SIM -PIN , no applications.

    I get a message at turn-on, "wrong sim card - only to be used by authorized sim cards...)

    Anyone a clue ?

    Did you use the original AT&T card together with the turbosim ? You will see the menu only if the SIM card is registered successfully with the provider (and the AT&T card is a valid one according to the iphone)

    So using the AT&T SIM together with the turbosim should show you the SIM applciations menu.
