Default [Problem] iPhone 3G & TurboSim

    Hi,

I hope someone can help as I am struggling with My i-phone at the mo.

Brought the 16gb version last week and as I am already with Orange I brough a turbo sim so I could continue with Orange using the i-phone. The sim came yesterday and I placed it under my sim and it does what it states and it now shows up as Orange not a problem. I managed to sort out my G3 settings last night which now works fine but I am having an issue with texting and calling.

I can make calls no problem but can't receive them. I don't have call forwarding on or anything. Also with texts I don't receive them and if I do they're often 20 minutes after they were sent.

Does anyone have any advice on what I can do regarding this, there must be a soloution.

    Thanks - Alex

Default [Problem] iPhone 3G & TurboSim

    Hi,

    I hope someone can help.

I have recently purchased an i-phone 16 GB version. I have always been on Orange and didn't really want to move to O2 so I brought the phone on PAYG and brought a turbo sim off E-bay. The Sim works fine, it goes under the Orange sim card and unlocks the phone so I can use it on my Orange network, there is, however one problem.

With regards to the 3G settings they work okay, however to get them to work I need to have both roaming and 3G switched on, the problem with this is when they are switched on I cannot receive calls, they just go straight to answer phone and my texts come through about half hour late. When I turn the roaming and 3G off I can receive calls and texts fine. It's not a massive issue it's just frustrating as I always have to go and turn the settings on and off when I want to use safari and may be missing calls when I'm online.

Does anyone have any idea how to get over this? I know people that have the phone on O2 and they don't even require the roaming settings to be on just the 3G settings, however with mine I need both on to be able to get online.

Any help would be much appreciated, many thanks,

    Alex
