[TurboSim] Upgrading fron 1.1.2 to 2.0 ?

Hi

I have an turbo sim unlocked 1.1.2 phone and I want to upgrade from 1.1.2 to 2.0 and would like to find out the best way to do this.

From my researtch to date it would appear that the best route is to:

1) use iTunes to upgrade to 2.0 firmware
2) use pwnage to software to jailbreak and unlock again

I still have some unanswered questions which my research has been unable to cover, specifically:

- do I still need the turbo sim card in the phone or should I simply remove and use my vodafone sim card to rely on the software unlock process?
- will the iTunes update affect my activation status since I did not use iTunes to activate initially?

Remove the TurboSim, update to 2.0, use PwnageTool (latest version is 2.0.1) to pwn your phone and you're done. ;)

in 1.1.2 I have Iworld. Wat about 2.0 ?

I have now sucessfully upograded from 1.1.2 to 2.0 using the method you describ ed however when I try the app store it wont let me use a UK account...is this:

a) because I used a US friends mac to do the upgrade process?, or
b) because the pawnage tool assumes a US account and therefore loads the US version of app store?

...and how do I change this to use a version which will be supported in the UK?

Have you updated to the latest itunes 7.7? This is required!!

I use both UK and US account :)

Yes I had to upgrade to 7.7 as part of the pwnage process.

Check that when you sync your phone, the selected iTunes Store is UK in iTunes.

1. simply remove ur turbo sim after use pwnage firmware, just put in ur favorite sim card inside and it will work
2. i am not quite sure iTunes will turn back the activation status or not, cause after pwned my iTunes, it has never posed me that problem :hack:
