When I use Tsim with my AT&T sim to set the ICCID on a nokia 6230i I get a ICCID starting with 9810 while the AT&T ICCID on iphone box starts with 8901??
Why is this? How can I solve it? Can anyone help please? Is it possible to enter the ICCID manual into the TurboSim Applsaft ?
OK problem solved apparently applesaft gives out ICCID number in a f-ed up format so all working now. Great!
I am in the same situation. While the TurboSIM is working well and allowing me to use my local telco SIMS on the iPhone, I can see that both the IMSI and ICCID numbers set inside the AppleSaft program is apparently not from AT&T.
From what I can gather from the WIKI pages about IMSI, as stated below;
"The first 3 digits are the Mobile Country Code, and is followed by the Mobile Network Code (MNC), either 2 digits (European standard) or 3 digits (North American standard). The remaining digits are the mobile subscriber identification number (MSIN) within the network's customer base."
This would mean the IMSI from the original AT&T card should start with the numbers (310). The number for the IMSI set in AppleSaft starts with (085), at least on my TurboSIM. The ICCID on mine starts with (9806), again different from the AT&T SIM card.
I enabled the TurboSIM on a separate Nokia phone and ran the applesaft program, with my iPhone already updated to 1.0.2 firmware. My iPhone was activated via AT&T and the contract subsequently cancelled. I have no hacks or modifications made on the iPhone.
It is probably showing the same ICCID number only that it is doing it in a weird format. it reads every two digits backwards.Quote:
