Dual Sim :S ?

I am rather new to the "hardware unlock" solution available for the iPhone FW-1.1.2 4.6 bootloader. I can't seem to understand the whole concept behind the turbosim/stealthsim/xxxsim unlock method, so if any of you can help me with that it'd be great.

I purchased my iPhone from the US of A but am using it in Pakistan :D . The xxxsim's aren't available here but I did find something known as the sim-jacket. They say it is used to combine two sims after cutting them so both of em can be used together. So my question is this....I have one AT&T sim and a GSM sim.....obviously I have to use the GSM sim ....so would it be possible to use my iPhone by using this sim-jacket :rolleyes:

again.....I have no idea how the xxxxsim's work so.....

The sim-jacket you are talking about is like Hyper-card. You can buy it and view the instructions (very easy) in the hypercard web http://www.hyper-card.com/home/english/main.htm.

It may be a similar system, but I wouldnt bet on that working. The HyperCard at some point tells the iPhone that their is a At&t card inserted, and that routine is probably missing on a standard dual sim adapter like your "sim-jacket".

It isnt exactly the same thing as the "SIM JAcket" but still somewhat similar. But again , according to norenred, the Hyper-card has a routine that fools the iPhone which this obviously lacks.........so......should I still give it a try then ?

hey kraken ..... its useless ...

i've bought this hyper sim look alike frm hall road, lahore ... its v cheap for Rs. 150 ... but it doesnt work, i already gave it a try ....

oh yeah !! one more thing .. i also tried this 6in1 sim ... first off you have to scan your sim to clone it to 6in1 sim ... the mobilink's old sims can be cracked and duplicated easily, for at&t sim, i failed to clone it because you cannot extract ki from it using a quick method .... the slow method takes about 20 hours i always get an error doin it after 10 hours ....

wot it needs is basically a dat file with IMSI, Ki and ICCI info init ... unfortunately you cannot input it manually ... and there are programs which can generate dat file after manual inputting the data but unfortunately the programs that comes with this package does not accept that dat file....

lol...I was planning to buy it from Hall Road on my way back from work :D
