[NextSIM 4] & iworld for 1.1.2 OTB --> 1.1.3 dev JB
Hi guys, I have an nextsim 4 incoming and a week 52 iphone (4.6BL 1.1.2 OTB) that I've recently jailbroken to 1.1.3 using the dev soft upgrade. I'm with Rogers in Canada and I'm wondering if I have to downgrade back to 1.1.2 JB to run iworld or could I simply plug the sim in and expect the phone to work.
Cheers,

Cheers,
You can just place the *SIM card and it will work. There is no need to use iWorld for Canada, as it is supported by the default CallerId table in the iPhone.
For others that may be on a similar situation, but not in a supported country (US, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Japan and China), there is no need to use iWorld at all.
All iWorld does is to replace the "France" entry country code with your country code. The result is a working phone for your country with French callerid rules.
There is a complete solution for the callerid problem that works for both 1.1.2 and 1.1.3 and can handle any country (just need to provide the matching rules).
Search for callerid and there are a few thread on the subject.

in 1.1.3 u don't even need iworld..
evenmore, when u install it, u wouldn't able to run the application..
just simply update it.. fix the timezone, and don't forget to fix the autocorrection first in 1.1.2
put the simcard in within your xxxxsim and foalah..

Thank you guys for the prompt reply. Could you please elaborate on the timezone and autocorrection fix? Are they general preference changes or tweaks I have to download using installer with 1.1.2. If other words, do I have to downground back to 1.1.2 first before this will work.

So if I use iWorld to change the phone settings to Greek when I am there for 6 months will the Greek settings overwrite the supported UK settings. If so how do I revert back when I return to the UK?
um........is not an answer
