    - How much you paid for.
    - The Country and network carrier it is working on.
    - The iPhone Firmware, week, baseband version.

    TurboSIM - Manufactured by Bladox
    - eBayed from a guy in Canada, US$150
    - Working on Brazil Vivo, but worked on US AT&T while in roaming
    - Missing features: Voicemail (not implemented by my carrier)
    - iPhone OTB 1.1.2, Week 45, Bootloader 4.6_M3S2
    - Pros: reprogramable at anytime by user using own phone or other compatible phones; should be easy to upgrade after any SIM routine changes by Apple
    - Cons: expensive

NEXT SIM 2 aka CHINA 3GPP
    - basically send AT&T message, tricks iPhone enabling call function.
    - 56$ delivered, but usually 50$ish
    - unlocks any 1.1.2 US OOB, allowing service on any GSM network, even UK's O2 and other ones
    - pro: cheap, effective, paper thin. (i thought the guy ripped me off and sent me a blank piece of paper)
    no technical knowledge required.
    - con: not upgradeable like Turbosim.

    - X-Sim
    - Cost - Dont know.
    - Country - India
    - Network carrier - Hutch
    - Firmware - 1.1.2
    - Week - 46
    - Baseband version - 4.02.13_G
    - Pro - Comes pre-programmed with AT & T ICCID. You dont have to program it. Just jailbreak any otb 1.1.2 and use it.
    - Cons - You need to cut the sim to be used. Not as easy as software unlocked phone. But then, it is so with all the *sim methods....

BTW, cant say that it is working exactly. I get the carrier name, network signal. But SMS app crashes and I cant make calls, phone app crashes at the dial pad. I installed iWorld, changed country to India but it still crashes and especially when a new SMS arrives. Maybe I have to do the entire jailbreak process again...

EDIT : Working perfectly now. Just had to patch the appsupport file. Dont know why iWorld could not do it. I copied the appsupport from another iphone (which had been patched with iWorld successfully) to the new otb 1.1.2 iphone.

    Pic .....already above

    - X-Sim
    - Cost - Indian Rupees 2000, US $ 50
    - Country - India
    - Network carrier - Vodafone (hutch)
    - Firmware - 1.1.2
    - Week - 45
    - Baseband version - 4.02.13_G
    - Pro - Comes pre-programmed with AT & T ICCID. You dont have to program it. Just jailbreak any otb 1.1.2 and use it.

it was very simple, i just put the card in phone, with just a small cut on sim....and selected india in iworld applicaiton, and restarted the phone. thats all.

    works like a charm.

NOTE: many x-sims dont work. so go to a store, and buy it only after it works. the store i went, 2 x-sims didnt work.....the 3rd one did. so be careful.

under a lot of cons, i read not upgradeable like turbosim... what's the advantage of being able to upgrade? are we saying the phone is not upgradeable to newer firmware? or the actual *sim is not upgradeable?
