I did a search and couldn't find any information, so here goes:

I ordered a StealthSIM for my phone down here in Mexico, I read some successful stories about Telcel SIM cards so I was pretty confident.

I've been trying right now for about an hour to install the SIM on the phone and nothing seems to work, always I get a "No SIM" message.

I tried with a different SIM and it worked. Here are the details:

Working SIM: V3 SIM, H2

Non Working SIM: V3 SIM, H6.

Physically they look different. The H6 looks more rounded, like the one that comes with the phone. So I tried the one with the phone, knowing it wouldn't get a line, but it actually detected the SIM.

The only thing I see different is a small message printed on the SIM that says: "GEM PLUS".

Anyone else from Mexico or Latin America had this problem? How did you solve it? Or anyone else has this type of SIM and didn't have a problem?

My was a pain to install also and took a while.
You do have to install iWorld by the way.
But I every once in a while , usually when losing antenna(service) get the no SIM icon and it takes a while to recognize my SIM card??

I kept trying and it looks like for this kind of SIM the error margin is very small. It finally worked, so I guess it's a matter of patience and keep trying until it works.

So you could get your iPhone working with the V3 h6 Telcel sim? I have tried and tried for hours with my old sim chip (+3 years old) and couldn't get it to work. Tomorrow I'm gonna buy a new sim, the Telcel V3 and try it. Hope it works. So you could activate your iPhone with the V3 SIM, H6??

I got 3 stealthsims. I was just able to make 1 iphone works with a telcel sim v3 h1. I was not able to make it work with a telcel sim v3 h3.
