Hi all.
Just bought the iPhone 3G. Put in Turbo sim as i am a Vodsfone UK user and can use phone as normal.

I cannot use iTunes because of the Turbo Sim. That i do know.
I am unable to get any internet.
I have looked in network and selected APN = internet - User = user - password = user.

Everything worked on my 2G iphone but not on my new 3G iPhone.

I decided to jailbreak it which was done sucessfully. But still no internet.

Only way i can get internet is through my wifi.
Anyone any ideas please?

Which TurboSIM is it? The old one which you need to take a chunk ouit of your SIM (which I don't believe work with the 3G iPhone) or the new one where you don't (which I am using on T-Mobile with full 3g access) I would also try changing user and password to web / web

Buy a EASYiSIM, you have no problem to use data service from vodafone in UK. you can buy this easyisim at UK London easyisim shop, try before buy. no worries for can't use in 3g data services.

You need to enabled DATA Roaming in Network.

If it still dosent work. Its your TurboSIM.

Ditch it and get a Virgin SIM.

What evil Apple & carriers companies did today was to turn off iphones remotely for a short period.
First we saw it when 2.2 beta came out for testing and now today morning when 2.2 officially released. All iphones factory unlocked or locked lost service for few minutes. So called "legal" phones got service back after few minutes but those using SIM clips cannot get internet back. Roaming on/off does not help neither puting SIM card in unlocked phone.
If you want to be able to use your iphone with SIM clip you have to wait maybe even few days and of course absolutely do not upgrade to 2.2. Wait for Pwnage or WinPWN although I doubt they will be able now to prepare custom 2.2 firmware without baseband modem

i dont know what planet you are from, my 3g iphone 2.1 (for more detail: ATT locked, jailbroken, i-smartphone sim solution with t-mobile sim card from 2005) STILL has service and EDGE

I was referring to 2.1 3g phones with official baseband.
You probably have older baseband that is why it works.
