What if there are people other then the Dev team that are working on or have found an unlock already. Anything is possible.

Im serious...i again called up that Guy and checked for it...and he double confirmed that yes he is unlocking 3-G iphone for any network..and he is going to charge Rs 5500 for it which is $130 dollars and the unlock done will be a permanent unlock..and i can go ahead and update or restore my iphone as well and it wont get locked again...
Also im based in India--> New Delhi--> If anyone want to get it unlocked there iphone..pm me...would give necessary details...

I agree. Yes, I support the Dev Team. Yes they are the main hackers of the iphone. Yes I cannot be more thankful to anyone for their work, and to make things even bigger, DevTeam have always provided all their tools for free, when clearly they can make a ton of money because of their tools, which is obviously way better than any other tools. BUT, I try to keep my mind open, there's always others out there also working on the same thing, i'm pretty sure there are, but maybe they're less successful, but there's always a possibility someone else have found an unlock. You never know. There's a lot of great people in the world nowadays, very very smart people. I wouldn't be surprised if there's an unlock in INDIA. They are very well known for tech people.

I dont have the email address of the person...i have the contact details and where he is based at...What he told me that his solution is based on Internet and he needs connection for that...and i even said im willing to purchase the software whats the price for it...he didnt agree for that...

Ask to meet him in person and see if he is willing to unlock it in front of you and have you test with different SIMs on the spot.

Yes Applecore...he is willing to do that...he is willing to share whatever i want to see..except the unlocking method...even if after unlocking i want to be restored or update..he is ready for that as well...

maybe that person can register your serial number to apple server
because if there is any unlock solution that only the official unlock
and can be done by putting your serial apple server
so i think maybe he is someone who can register iphone serial number to apple server

Oh Man...then im excited because if thats the case then the iphone would be become like legal unlocked by apple....

It would be interesting to know if a foreign phone company that sells unlocked iPhones can register iPhones from another country to be unlocked. I would imagine they would do a lot of business, but Apple would probably wouldn't like it.
