I just emailed Votech to demand a refund - think they will respond?
I am really angry about this. I ordered a TurboSim on the 18th August - which was after the initial rush admittedly. I didnt even get an order number during the ordering process and they took the money instantly.
They have had my £60 for 13 days. I have contacted them twice to ask why I never received an order number and to query why they took payment instantly when (apparently) they cannot fulfill my order. I have heard nothing.
Today I emailed them demanding a refund. Do you think I ill hear back? Should I contact PayPal today? This has nothing to do with a potential software unlock - this is about people taking my money, not returning my messages and giving me no idea if/when I will get the product. I wouldn't put up with this from any normal we retailer - why should I put up with it from these people?

Maybe they're not a normal retailer? Maybe they're a small outfit ill-prepared for a global onslaught of orders? I'm not saying they're conducting their customer service operations well, but if you read their update pages on the site, you can see that they are being inundated with emails/requests/etc and are having trouble coping with the size of the demand.

i also asked for refund and it went very quickly (same day) and paypal refund mail notice was here..

Thats encouraging.
The thing is, their update page is useless. The content doesn't appear to ever change, just the dates. Im just really annoyed that they took the money before they could supply the goods.

I ordered on the same date and also have requested my money back and I have not recieved a response. Very poor customer service.

I did the same and filed with claim with paypal the refunded me in 24 hours (think their account gets suspended if they dont).
but I lost some money due to exchange rate $5 per turbosim ordered

i also ordered but you know...i figure what the hell. who knows which of these unlock ideas will stick. i ordered the super sim programmer and silver sims as well. one way or another whether apple shuts down thru updates or whatever...i've already put enough money into this process (100.00 to the dev team as well) ...i just want an iphone that works. i figure i'm covered every way except hardware unlock. these votech people may just not have the sims...they probably will eventually (probably after the software unlock) but it's not a bad back-up. i'd keep your orders in. just my two cents

they DO update the updates page. Have you been checking it properly? The last post from yesterday indicates anyone who ordered on or before 17th August should have either got their TurboSIMS or it has been sent. Anyone after that date will get theirs in the next shipment.
I ordered after the17th as well, I'm not happy having to wait but they do seem to be making an effort to keep you informed. That's better than bladox already. I am still going to wait for mine, who knows if the software unlock will ever be released?

You ordered it on August 18th and are upset about not receiving it? I ordered mine the very first day the news broke that the TurboSIM could be used and received it on Friday, August 31.
In my opinion, Votech was pretty good about updating its customers as best as it was equipped to do. They obviously aren't a large company and the TurboSIM - until it was known it could be used to unlock an iPhone - was a very niche item that very few people would ever buy.
I think you need to be more realistic about the situation that happened. They went from being a small online retailer who might get a few orders a day to getting likely hundreds of orders a day. Follow that up with the fact that they doubtfully had more than a few TurboSIMs in stock, had to order and receive a new international shipment of TurboSIMs, and the TurboSIMs faced an immediately global shortage because of their new use. Every day, I bet Votech was receiving constant requests for updates, new orders, refund requests, etc so that just overwhelmed them more.
