Are Grevey Sims good?

Hi guys, my iphone 3g 2.1 was using an ismart card since I got the phone, and it worked for about 2 months until now, it has the No sim error. I just place an order for a grevey, is that good? Because Virgin sim is more expensive...

The Gevey-3G sim works perfectly for me on T-Mobile USA. I rarely get signal loss, but it comes back right away.

Not for most people atleast.

It doesnt work at all for me. No SIM error right from the start.

when I used gevey sim, itune showed it didn't recognize sim card
and I cannot sync my iphone.

My experience...

I tried 2 Gevey Sim..
The first one didn't work right out of the box on my new 3G phone. so then I got a new Gevey; inserted right in.. and voila it works.. no problems at all. Its being more than 2 months now.
some caviats:
1. Cannot enable 3G on the phone. (works on edge only)
2. If you switch to airplane mode & back, the signal is lost and needs the phone to be restarted.
3. Data roaming has to be enabled even though u are within network/area. I am not sure if this is for the Gevey OR true for data access in general.

I just got a Gevey today and it's been working all day.No lost signal or lost service.

Running on 8gb 3G 2.1 Firmware. Tmobile USA

I got two different geveys, first one, sometime work sometime not, 2nd one work perfectly. It is different (the packaging very similiar) between them ( the chip/sim), I suspect the 1st one is fake.

I've been using the Gevey sim for over a month and so far it has been very smooth. No problems with edge and with the epc.tmobile.com proxy I can use edge on youtube. I've also used the Gevey sim on about 10 of my customer's phones and they haven't come back to complain.

I use one and like it very much. no lost signal or any other issues. I think it depends on your location,carrier and sim card. I am reading different reviews all over about sim adapters.
