Gevey 3G
I bought a Gevey 3G adapter it works great, I have had it for a 5 days now I have driven about 100 miles away from my home and it still works. I did have one problem today It lost signal for a few minutes when I was in a building when the service came back I lost Edge. Any ideas how I can fix this?
Thanks

Thats actually the smartest comment so far. Yes that solved the problem and it only happened one time. So far the Gevey has been very reliable for me.

Another happy "Gevey Plus" owner. If you buy one, make sure it is the plus version. It works here in Japan and 3G works as well. You just have to input the apn settings to get 3G to work.
Heck for 10 bucks, I can't complain. I was already used to adding apn settings to my iphone in the U.S.
It's kind of weird that I have to use apn settings on an official iPhone network, but whateva.
Edit:
Here is a picture of the official Gevey Plus. Make sure if you buy one that it looks like this.

Hi Bargsbeer,
I had a gewey and i smartphone and was not satisfied at all. With gewey I had constant problems with 3G. No matter what I couldn't make it work. So 10 days later I found another card on www.unlockediphone.info
As soon as i put it in my iphone 3G was there. So it is very important which sim card you use.

Dude, you have to activate\jailbreak it first. Use QuickPwn for windows or PwnageTool for mac, check their forums here at hackint0sh.

couple questions...
I haven't tried a Gevey 3G yet but I'm willing to buy one soon because it has the best reviews compared to other proxy sims, but first I have a couple of questions haunting me
1) I have an iPhone 3G with 2.1 installed, do i have to jailbreak my iphone for Gevey 3G to work? If yes, is there any other proxy-sims that do not require jailbreaking and do work?
2) Where can i get a Gevey 3G from? Any1 knows a legitimate ebay seller? I heard there's plenty of fake ones online!
Thank you!
