If after a baseband update the "exploitable" menu displays "game over" in a previous well known situation in which the card worked (i.e. activation done properly through a patched lockdownd or your favorite method in a former iPhone firmware version such as 1.0.2), then yes, the bug has been fixed

qwertzui> you got it all right, congratulations

So on a 1.1.2 showing game over is normal? Even though it continues to work

    Depends

It should display "game over" until the phone is properly activated (patched lockdownd and so on)

Then it shouldn't display "game over" when you get a carrier and can place calls (otherwise there's a bug in my vulnerability test)

    ok, great!

i don't understand why this unlocking method seems to be so unpopular. i think its great as very little on iphone is changed. the turbosim is not that expensive and can be used on any actual iphone yet.
the only uncomfortable thing is the cutting....
ok, ok quick sim changing is not possible too, but who cares...

    cheers!

i think there is a issue then as every-time i run the checker i get game over, even though the phone is fully working and can make and receive calls

Another point of interest is that during the upgrade from 1.0.2 to 1.1.1, the initial iTunes screen after the upgrade still prompted me to register with AT&T (as the phone obviously thought the turbosim was an AT&T sim card).

However, for 1.1.2, iTunes displayed a message warning that the sim card was invalid for use in the phone and couldn't be activated. I then closed iTunes, jailbroke/activated and then it's worked fine (with existing applesaft on the TurboSim).

But there's something different either about the newer iTunes version (7.5) or the new firmware 1.1.2 which allowed a distinction to be made, the AT&T emulation wasn't flawless.

But hey, it's still working and I've still never had to delve into the murky waters of playing with the baseband so I'm happy.

You should try a turbo_rm_apps and check that there's a good contact between the Turbo SIM and the SIM
