    Default Complete brain explosion-- help!

I was playing around trying to get youtube to work-- so i restored my phone like i've done a bunch of times. Now, I can't get Iactivator or iNdipendence to activate the phone to use the supersim. It says 'waiting for at&t activation- this may take some time' but after a while it just dopesnt do anything. I'm using the original AT&T sim... this is so frustrating. I've been using the iphone as a phone for the last 2 weeks... now I'm back at square 1.

Can anyone PLEASE remind me of whatever I'm forgetting?

    Thanks

    Thoughts:

You should be able to activate with the SuperSIM installed. (Once made they probably shouldn't be moved too much, as they are often more prone is misalignment in lining up the gold contacts because of an imperfect cut - something to check.)

Make sure the iTunes Helper is killed, as it can interfere with jailbreaking / activation communication over the cable.

Make sure the iPhone is fully jailbreaked. Don't let go until you see the yellow triangle.

iActivator can be temperamental. Some tips say to quit & relaunch it after each step.

Hope you get it working. Just remember, after a restore, it's back to factory new state, so everything should be reproducible to how you had it before. Just a matter of re-finding what you did.

Thanks for the reply mike. I am completely exasperated (spelling?!).

Iactivator has worked without fail every time up until now and I'm completely out of ideas. It must have somehting to do with itunes i guess because the msh on the iphone is the no signal one... but itunes and helper are closed.

Can i activate the aiphone for supersim via pc at all?

Looks like i'll be taking my old nokia to work tomorrow!

    Cheers, Richard

This has nothing to do with iActivator or independence. Either the plist file you created had the wrong data or you did not entered the correct data in the hex files in sim emu.
Use the ICCID from the carrier, not from AT&T to activate the iphone (and also ICCID must be entered in pos 0 in sim emu) only IMSI from AT&T needs to be entered in pos 9 in sim emu.
Check the Hex files and start over.
