China3gpp message problem: The ultimate solution!
Just take out your sim adapter (china3gpp or whatever other you have).
Down load a copy of Ziphone and just run it, leave your iPhone as it is now with out any preparation.
Just like that.
Use only the unlock (-u)option, but be sure to have itunes and itīs archives like itunes helper closed before you run it.
Then in less than 3 minutes you will have a totally functional SMS !

No, this still does not permanently fix the SMS problems.
We have tried this with Australian Vodafone and TELSTRA and OPTUS SIMs
They still get the SMS problems from time to time.
It seems to be an iPhone problem not a SIM solution problem.
Re-setting the iPhone. Switching ON and OFF. Etc, etc. All may work.
But, we found that simply removing all previous SMS messages/records and starting 'fresh' (ie. inserting 'phone numbers again) always fixes the SMS problems - at least until the next time.
