Default Can I use the same phone to program two Turbosims?

Someone asks me to fix up their phone with Turbosim. I have done so successfully with my own.

Can he just send me his TurboSim? Can I remove my own and redo the same process with his in my iphone? I have all the necessary software on my iPhone.

So alle he has to do, is to insert his AT&T card, the TSim I programmed, run sim-applications-applesaft-set, then reinsert TSim with his carriers sim and he would be good to go?

He is prepared to send me his iphone, at&t and tsim. But if I don't have to tamper with his iphone, I would rather not...

So I am right? Can I program his TSim in my own iphone?

You don't need his iPhone. I have successfully used my own iPhone to program additional TurboSIM's.

    You will need the following:

    1. Your own iPhone with SSH, binkit and turbo utilities installed
    2. Your friend's iPhone ICCID
    3. Your own cut-up AT&T sim card

    Steps:

    a. you program the new TurboSIM with ISA method.
    b. insert the new TurboSIM with your own AT&T sim into your iphone
    c. set up the ISA by entering IMSI and the code for the pairs of ICCID using your friend's ICCID
    d. send him the new TurboSIM
    e. your friend jailbreaks his iPhone and activate using iASign or iActivator using his own IMEI and ICCID
    f. he can then return to jail if he likes (optional)
    g. insert his own cut-up SIM with the new TurboSIM that you sent him.

If you run Applesaft method instead, then he'll need to send you his AT&T sim as well.

He does not need to set up SSH, binkit or turbo utilities on his iphone. He just needs a programmed TurboSIM and activated iPhone using either iASign or iActivator.

    Hope that helps.

I will be using applesaft method. But why would I need his AT&T card?

If I program it using my own card, he can just go to Settings-phone-sim-applications-applesaft and enter 'set' with his own AT&T card inserted? And then replace his AT&T with his own simcard.

I don't see why that would not work?

I still haven't got my answer...

I fail to see why I need the other AT&T card. If I use my own to load applesaft.trb onto the TSim, he can just insert TSim with his own AT&T and do the 'set' from Settings. Should that not work?

Or would that produce an incorrect sim error?

    jadajada,

It would work that way - but he will need to set applesaft himself. Don't forget he will also need to activate by iActivator or iASign.

You can use applesaft, but applesaft reads the AT&T sim information directly from the particular SIM. You can program the TurboSIM with applesaft (but not set), and send it to him, and tell him how to set the applesaft using his TurboSIM. It means he will have to cut his own AT&T SIM to program the TurboSIM. He does not have to send it to you, but he will have to set applesaft himself.

If you use isa, then you can program the isa using your friend's AT&T sim ICCID without actually having his SIM. As long as you set isa using your own AT&T Sim to power up, but enter his ICCID information, you don't have to cut up his AT&T Sim card. You can then send him the TurboSIM with isa set. All he then need to do is to activate the iPhone (iActivator or iASign), then insert his new SIM with TurboSIM.
