Well, since it seems as if we're not getting any unlock for the 2.30 baseband, I was wondering if anyone has anything to say about the product sold on unlockediphone.info? Like most, I'm dying to get my phone unlocked but I've never used anything this before and I can't seem to get any good feedback as to whether or not it will actually work. The video on their site isn't great, but it does show the phone working. I read everything I can find on this site and others but the reviews seem mixed. One thing I am worried about is the phone not keeping the signal and requiring the sim to be constantly removed and put back in. I've already had to get my phone replaced once due to the sim eject not working (which, BTW, is why I'm locked out on the 2.30 band).
Any comments before I drop 50 bills on one of these?

DO NOT WASTE your money.
2.30.03 BB cannot be unlocked. Period !!
Proxy-SIM and the like may work partially. You will loose signal and you will have swap to get it going again. It is annoying and simply a waste of money.
Downgrading BB 2.30.03 to 2.28.00 cannot be done easily ...
BB 2.30.03 (fw 2.2.1) was released specifically to COUNTER yellowsn0w.
At the moment, I don't think a yellowsn0w version for 2.30.03 is in the work. We may have to wait until the next firmware update and hopefully Dev Team can come up with something :-)
Save your money, use it to buy a beer or buy apps on appstore or just save it for donation of your choice.

BB 2.30.03 & *SIMs solutions
Yeah, I couldn't drop the 50 bills on one of the piggyback sims, I just sold my 3G instead. I've always been more of a fan of the original iphone anyway. Feels good to be using my TMobile sim in an iphone again. Good luck 3G owners! I hope you get something soon.

According to his twiters, the team is going to wait for the next full baseband update in order to try and find a way to hack it. Baseband 2.30.03 was made for the sole purpose of stopping Yellowsnow and I don't think it's going to get unlocked. I guess the good news would be that there is probably a new baseband update coming down the pike with the new iPhone (hopefully in June), so maybe there will be a new unlock this summer.
Twitter / MuscleNerd Summer?!?!, and to think that we've all been expecting an unlock in the next few days. I'm sorry, I can't stand having no phone anymore. I'm isolated from the world. Rebel simcard for me...

Are the rebel sim cards the only way to get the iphone to work with the 02.30.03 baseband?
And if so is it a workable fix? I have searched and searched and cant really find a definative answer, some say it works great and others say dont touch it but I am wondering if it is worthwhile using until a fix is released?

I'm using a sim card right now in my 02.30.03 iPhone. I'm with Vodafone UK and everything works except I can't receive calls when 3G is enabled.
I made a post above stating all this. I am still waiting for the soft unlock, but as yet there is no word on progress etc for the unlock, so to get the phone working I took a chance and bought the sim.
To be honest with you (and this is purely and only my experience) it works fine, I've had about two times where it lost signal and I had to re-boot the phone for it to work again since I've had the sim, and that has been about a month so far.
So in short, if you are desperate to get the phone working try the sim, if not then hang about for the next unlock, but don't expect it anytime soon...

I got a Rebel Simcard a week ago and was disapointed as it only works in the 2G mode and not the 3G.
I have contacted them and they told me to try to upgrade the firmware of the Rebel Simcard and in order to do so I have to buy a Programmer from them.
I have also read in another forum that some one has done the upgrade and didn't work for him.
They have told me at the Rebel Simcard that they are aware of the problem and that is why the state on their site that it works with 80% of the Cariers not 100% for the 3G.
I also get "Sim Card not Installed" and "Network Lost" errors every now and again.
So, Maybe you need to look for a different manufacturer to buy from and make sure the 3G works for yuor Carier.
Regards
