[3G] 2.2.1/2.30 Sim Unlock w/Tmobile Question
Hello readers, This is my first post so forgive me if I'm posting where I shouldn't be.
I have a locked phone (2.2.1 Firmware, with the 2.30 baseband)it came with an ATT Sim card as I bought it this way through with a 2 year contract (which I just early terminated out of)
My question is, How do I go about Unlocking my phone with a Sim card unlock .
I know that I need a sim card overlay chip, like a Gevey, or Turbo sim.
But where and how do I get actual service provided sim card, like Tmobile. I checked their site and took notice of their ' Prepaid ' sim card, but they ask for a model number of the phone along with the sim number in order to activate it for "prepaid"
Anyone have any idea's how to do this the right way ?
I'm planning on ordering a Turbo sim or Gevey sim unlock, but I'm clueless as far as what actual Service provider SIM card is needed
I was interested in Tmobile prepaid, and checked out their prepaid cards, but I'm not sure if it would work being that I'd be using it in my iphone and not one of their prepaid phones.. which has me worried that there might be a problem in the setting up and activation of a number.
And if a Tmobile prepaid sim unlocking isn't possible, then what about a compatible sim that can be used with Flex pay ?
Any help would be appreciated.

Jailbraking it will also activate it.
I had a similar issue where I bought a T-mobile phone that never was activated. Not knowing anyone with a T-mobile SIM I was very frustrated as I could not use my phone, no even check the firmware details.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say.
My question is basically:
Where can I buy a Tmobile sim card that would work with a flex pay plan or a Prepaid plan ? And also : will there be a problem activating the Tmobile Sim card being that the prepaid card isn't being used with a Tmobile prepaid card isn't being used with a Tmobile prepaid phone( Cause you need to activate it by giving them the Sim card code, and Model number of the phone..so you can have a phone number yeah ?)

I'm not sure anyone understand what YOU are saying:
"activating the Tmobile Sim card being that the prepaid card isn't being used with a Tmobile prepaid card isn't being used with a Tmobile prepaid phone"

Dude. They sell Tmobile Prepaid SIM cards at the Tmobile site
Unsupported Browser
Now because I'm buying ONLY the Tmobile prepaid SIM card (WHICH requires activation by calling them and giving them the card number and usually the phone model number) And not a Prepaid T mobile phone Hence the ' Phone model number issue I'm worried about '
I'm asking, WILL IT WORK IN MY IPHONE.

Will there be a problem " Activating the Tmobile Prepaid Sim card that isn't being used with a prepaid Phone"
It would be used with my iPhone.
