Im on 3 uk network and I just cannot seem to be able to get the Internet to work while using the gevey sim. There is also no 3G icon next to the reception bars either.

Everything else seems to work fine.

I also have roaming and 3g switched on and apn settings point to three.co.uk but yet no joy.

Is there a setting I need to do? Or could this be the sim?

Dunno - apn is all you need, no username and password.
Have you tried setting roaming on ? All other networks are seen as roaming so will not work unless you do this.

Also, try toggling 3g on and off.
Have you run your SIM in another phone and connected to internet / 3g /sent sms or something like that before you used it in the iphone ?
The SIMs just replay a code from a working phone on the network I think.

I got it working.

This is what i did.

I put the sim back into my normal 3g phone for 20 mins. Used the internet on there etc. Then put back into my iphone and works fine now showing a 3g symbol. I left apn settings all blank and all seems well so far.

Strange but it works.

Another thing you can try to do when this happens is to delete the contents of Unknown.bundle in the Carrier Bundles folder.

Had this issue in several FW2.1 iPhone 3Gs + Gevey3G wherein the Data iCon just wouldn't show up and somehow doing the thing above solved the problem for some (but not all) of the problematic phones. Do remember to backup the contents of Unknown.bundle before deleting.

And reboot after deleting. Make sure Data Roaming is ON as well.

how do i get to the carrier bundle folder?

EASYiSIM work flawlessly on 3G data network. if you having no 3G logo appear, try reset network . it should be able to solve your problem.. in some case you may need to restart your iphone after reset network.
