I faced the same and

ps ax

revealed that CommCenter was not running. Once running, the error message disapears, when running the script once again.

Hard to tell without testing. They can claim anything.
But they are very specific. It's either a big scam or they found a way of doing it, like this other guy that also claim the same:

note the first number, in my example is 14, on your iphone it may be difference,
