    Question [1.1.2 OTB UK] MagicSIM

I have just recieved my MagicSIM card (15th) and SIM reader/writer.

I can read my UK T-Mobile SIM fine and record the ICCID & IMSI no problem.

When I try to read the UK O2 SIM card, I get the error

    Connect Failed

Please reinsert the SIM and check the reader is connected properly

CAUTION: If you use the high frequency reader. Please change to a normal one instead

It is definitely connected properly as the T-Mob SIM reads fine.

The actual 'chip' on the T-Mob and O2 SIMs are slightly different shapes and in slightly different positions on the card too. Could this be a problem?

I notice that the cutout templates delivered with MagicSIM do not line up correctly with the 'chips' too. I guess you have to cut off some of the metal chip too?

    Anyone else experience this?

Im in the same situation as you homie.. Im in the UK for uni n the 1.1.2 OOB UK phone is very difficult to unlock because many of the sim solutions are targetted at faking the AT&T signal... You can always unlock on a payasyougo O2 sim bro...

I'm using a iturbosim with 1.1.2 with no problem. I was told that it was a rebranded MagicSim.

Here's a video that shows the iturbosim2/magicsim that I'm using (the one with a metalic cover):

If it's a MagicSim then I can confirm that it works with a week 49 iphone. If it's not, then I'd like to know what it is!

this "iturbosim" is not a magicsim, magicsim looks much different and can not be used with iPhone (as of yet). What you have is probably some chinese piece of shit that requires an at&t card as well as your own.

Does it drain battery life? probably.

    Hello iGun 4 Fun!

I do not share your point of view regarding MagicSim! In the video the guy is unlocking the iPhone with two different methods:

    1. Method: Single card method (similar StealthSim) - where the card is only cut on the top (he names it old turbosim) and he puts it into iphone without using a steel cover - this card is indeed different to the MagicSim

    2. Method: DualSimcard method - he calls it iTurbosim2
Here he cuts the Sim untill only the chip is left and inserts it in the iPhone after closing the steel cover. This card is exactly the same card as the MagicSim-card, 15th version. I am sure, as I own this card.

So the point is: Which files have been programmed to the MagicSim?

No, I don't need to put the AT&T card in it. The seller told me that I could put it into the second slot and be able to use my Rogers and AT&T card at the same time. He also told me that it's not possible to use two non AT&T cars at the same time.

Well, I've only had the iphone for about a week. I played a lot with it on the first day (many hours) and recharged it on Dec 25th PM. Since then, it's been open all day every days and I've used it moderately (maybe 30 min/day) and as of Dec 31th PM, the battery is about at 60%. Overall I'm quite satisfied.

    Happy New Year!

First - happy new year to all of you too !

    http://wxw.sixth-ave.com/iturbosim2.htm

On this site on the top video the guy is explaining the use of the MagicSim (I call it MagicSim, as it looks exactly like MagicSim, despite he is calling it iTurbosim). Normally he is using his t-mobile card together with the AT&T card at the same time. But later he tells us that "he has programmed his iturbosim on the second tray" so he was able to transfer these commands to the magicsim. I am very sure that one must not transfer any ki key from his v3 card to the MagicSim - we are very close to our goal!
