In the MAC version of the tutorial, step 1.3 "press the restore button WHILE holding the ALT-key; in the upcoming filechooser just choose the 1.1.1-firmware-file (iPhone1,1_1.1.1_3A109a_Restore.ipsw) you just downloaded;" I dont know which exact file to choose? Can anyone please tell me ? Help please~

You are supposed to choose the .ZIP FILE.

If you downloaded the 1.1.1 file and unzipped it, you need to re-download the file and NOT UNZIP IT.

Mac OS X is often set to "Open or Unpack/UnZip/Extract Downloaded Files" Automatically.

If the file Unzipped Automatically when you downloaded it..... you need to go to Safari (or xBrowser) Preferences, and uncheck the "Open/UnZip/Extract Downloaded Files When Complete". (Sorry, I don't know the exact "wording" that is used, because I am on my PC at work right now).

After you have done that... Re-Download the 1.1.1 Zip File.... and Choose that Zip File when you do the "alt+RESTORE" with iTunes.

You need to follow iMaso's tutorial....

Steps: 2: 1,2,3,4,5,6

this will install "installer" on your phone.

Everything you will need to unlock your iPhone is in this tutorial..... just follow it step-for-step.

I recently received a OTB 1.1.2 / BL 4.6 (4.06) iphone. I used iMaso's [1.1.2 OTB] Tutorial MAC/PC with TurboSIM guide to get the phone working with T-Mobile USA. I now have an issue with my Edge connectivity (the result of my own screw up- it was working at one point) and would like to restore my iPhone back to the way it was when I took it out of the box.

1) Should I just use the iTunes restore function?
2) If so, do I just complete the first two steps of iMaso's guide:

STEP 1 - DOWNGRADE YOUR 1.1.2 OTB to 1.1.1
STEP 2 - JAILBREAK and ACTIVATION

and SKIP the third step (STEP 3 - PREPARING and INSTALLING THE TURBOSIM) since I have already "programed" the Turbosim when I set up my iPhone originally?

Any information that can be provided would be very helpful.

if I finish the tutorial with one simcard, can i just use any other simcard with the turbosim or is every turbosim specific to only the simcard that i programmed to?
