[1.1.2 OTB] Tutorial MAC/PC with TurboSIM

ok i have 1.1.2 otb i had to reset i went throught the process and all worked fine.

i just like to add if you have already previously unlocked your 1.1.2 you only need to do the procedure until you jailbreak 1.1.2 unlock is not needed and just install apps as usual.

there are many tutorial out there on various sites i like to say this one was much better as i had previously tried some other with no luck.

thanks a lot for your reply.
The first link now works on another computer but the second link still doesn't work. I removed the "_" from rapid share but I'm still getting a page saying file not found.

you are using a mispelled/faulty link..... and I have a feeling you accidentally wrote it yourself.

please click on this link, and follow the instructions below it..... I promise, it works.

1. click on the link.... it will take you to a "Can't Find Server" page.

2. go to the address bar and remove the "_" (underscore) between RAPID & SHARE.

3. press Enter / Return on newly modified address.... it will load a new page.

4. You will be in the right place now.... so press the "Free" account button to move on.

5. Use the default download location (already selected), and enter the secret code as described at the bottom of the page

6. stretch your legs and please kick your own ass (kidding).

good luck... if anything goes wrong.... assume "User Error". This is, perhaps, the easiest step in the installation process.... so stay sharp.

I have now (kicked my own butt) and have downloaded a file called
MobileDevice_7_4_2[1].framework.zip

Is this the same file that was on the link? how come the file says something like
7197445..._rev2.zip.html instead?

No problem.

Yes... that is the right file. All the files that iMaso linked in his tutorial are the correct files. Don't worry too much about filenames..... some of them have minor updates which may have changed the exact filename. Don't worry about that.

im using an uk iphone with oob 1.1.2.

when i am at the jailbreak step the 1 isnt calling me? do you know where did i something wrong??

o.k thanks. have you sucessfully unlocked an OTB 1.1.2 using the instructions? and is there any other way to unlock an OTB 1.1.2 without using a turbosim? sorry about so many questions. You seem like you know what your talking about and I have no clue.

I'm no Mobile Wiz.... but I do work in IT.... so I could follow iMaso's tutorial without any problems.

I have successfully unlocked a US OTB 1.1.2 using a TurboSim and iMaso's Tutorial. I unlocked my personal iPhone a few weeks ago, and this past weekend unlocked my friend's iPhone. iMaso's guide works well.

If you check out the "unlock" threads in this forum.... you will see there is No Software method to unlock 1.1.2 OTB iPhones.

TurboSim and other similar Sim Patches are currently the only method for unlocking the iPhone 1.1.2 OTB.

Just read through iMaso's tutorial carefully.... you should be OK. Try to not to get discouraged or frustrated.... or scared.... if you don't understand everything. You can always ask questions here.

You can't BREAK your iPhone using this tutorial. The worst thing you could possibly do is accidentally destroy your Sim Card and have to buy a new one from your mobile carrier.
