I have already installed openSSH. Still cant figure it out. On the main page of winSCP is there anything I'm missin? Host name is IP, I filled in User Name/Password, Port No is 22. Do I need to fill in Private key file? Does cyberduck only work for MAC?

    I did this
    w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist

    after I got stuck with

    /dev/tty.baseband: Resource busy

    Now I have this message

    initializing modem
    AT+CPMS="SM","SM"
    ERROR
    modem initiacted
    ok. No Error

    typed .... turbo-app /private/var/root/applesaft.trb

no file on directory: turbo-app /private/var/root/applesaft.trb

    Any ideas????

or can I just clear all the actions from beginning of preparing and installing turbo sim and keep jailbreak from earlier on?

    Please help.................

seems as if you just forgot to copy applesaft.trb to where it belongs, according to the tutorial, or copied it somewhere else?

Just one question (maybe a daft one) about all this, as it's not really been specified anywhere ; can the whole thing be done on a PPC Mac or is there anything for which would be needed an Intel one (why on earth, i wouldn't know) ?

If so, min. specs would be a nice addition. Same goes for Wifi (which i don't have but that could be arranged), i saw a thread a few days ago concerning a wholly off-line solution, did anybody succeed putting up a packaged "everything-you-need-for-offline-jailbreak" ?

I'm still with my G4 PPC...

    you did exactly this?

    7. copy the file "applesaft.trb" (from the folder turbosim_rev2) to the iPhone-folder /private/var/root

    8. copy all OTHER files (except "applesaft.trb") (from the folder turbosim_rev2) to the iPhone-folder /bin

    9. mark the copied files in the folder /bin, right-click Info and give them 0755-rights

good point. dont know, maybe someone else does. terminal wont be the problem, an sftp client like cyberduck or similar should be available for PPC, just check the independence website for specs, should be there, and jailbreak.jar should work as it is an java app. hope that helps. I guess it wont be a problem.

Does anybody get the error 1011 instead of 1015 when trying to downgrade the phone to 1.1.1 in the first step? I'm getting this error, after that I still can kick Iphone out of recovery mode and jailbreak it under 1.1.1 but later I cannot update to 1.1.2 with Oktoprep installed. I wonder if this is because Im getting 1011 instead of 1015 in the first place. Help???
