Take a look at this post http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=2557
wombat has posted links to sim apps that he tried to get to work on a SIM MAX USB SIM reader/writer. The device has limited functionality but the low level (and potentially dangerous) ICProg 1.05E he tried to use with it seems quite powerful. It is also mentioned in deepdarks cloning guide: http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=2032
geebee posted an offer on another thread that he is open for testing. He has a v15 & a phoenix serial programmer in hand.
Since I don't have any experience programming sim cards, I am unable to provide useful input in that regards. I can only share my research on the topic and highlight references to relevant threads & knowledgeable forum members that might be able to help with this unlock attempt.
Like Sassha's reference post on programming silvercards: http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=2215
Zf_ discusses details of how the Turbo SIM does the timing sequence/spoofing of the IMSI:
http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=18048
What can we learn from these different methods to port them to the v15 Magic SIM? What is missing? Identification of the programmable chip on the v15? ? Chip OS? Programming software/programmers? Can the existing v15 software be manipulated/disassembled to reprogram the v15 as an unlock sim?
PS: A new v20 Magic SIM has been released. Their website mentions a new IC, nothing about it being programmable.

Trereīs a guy on ebay selling information for US9,99, he says that if you pay that he will inform where to buy a US65,00 solution to unlock the 1.1.2 oob. The funny thing is that the product is the same as the magicsim callback.
Chet it out:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll....cWAT.m240.lVI That sounds fishy... and since that person is selling 'information' to lead to a supposed unlock, it more than likely that the product in the image used is merely a placeholder.

darn, i was going off the old item that said that magicSims worked, and bought a Card writer/reader, as well as 3 MagicSims from eBay.
So this is a fake? no one actually got MagicSim to work?
once i get them, ill post here. Maybe someone wants me to test them out with a new idea/method.

Well, I was out of luck with 2 16th gen Magicsims I bought. I even ended up buying a Duolabs serial programmer to make really sure.
Maybe there's still a chance with 15th gen Magicsim, which I haven't got.
But they'll most probably only work with V1 sims (if at all!).

Well, I got the 15th gen Magicsim, an USB reader/writer, ran the SimScanner, found the IMEI and the ICCID, but the the SIMData requires the KI that couldnīt be retrieved by the WoronScan because the AT&T sim that came with the Iphone is not a V1.
