[1.1.2 OTB] My Experience with HyperCard
Hey guys, I own an iPhone US 8GB, Firmware 1.1.2 OTB, Bootloader 4.6
On December 31, 2007, I ordered a Hyper Card II at hyper-card.com.
A day later, January 1st of 2008, I got a mail back from Eric at HyperCard, telling me the payment arrived ok
And today, the 4th, the HyperCard arrived!
Some pics I made:
I got a DHL Package, inside that, there was a FedEx package lol...
Inside that, a yellow envelope, and yes, inside that envelope, even more stuff:

And the actual contents:

I opened up the HyperCard package, put the sticker on my original sim, and started cutting.
It's easiest to use normal scissors, no need for a special knife or whatever, scissors do the job.
I accidently cut my sim card too small, so that was really scary ^^.
I used the recovery card to test the SIM card in my old phone; still worked perfectly.
Then I put the little sim in the HyperCard holder, closed it, put it in the iPhone and... Yay =D (After running iWorld, that is).
So to all those who are afraid of cutting up their SIM, don't worry, even if you cut too much, it will still work.
When closing the HyperCard, make sure you're doing it correctly though, I damaged a part of mine by applying too much pressure lol.
So now I have an iPhone US 8GB Firmware 1.1.2, fully working in Belgium, with the provider Mobistar \o/
Anyway, thought I'd share this with you guys =)

Have you tried opening try again? Mine one was pretty stuck and I damaged one a bit when opening. I got 3 of them (just to clarify - hypercards, not the piggy backs). Anyone knows how to make em not so fatty?

I just made sure that the small sims were seated properly in the recessed area AND, once the metal holder was in place, I squeezed it all over to push the sims into their position further. After that, they were thin enough to not cause much further friction when inserting/removing.

Hey, seems I fucked up one of my hypercards, one of the corners were unfolded, I glued it back, but that didn't helped. I keep getting NO SIM error when I put my local operator in SIM2 slot, the SIM1 slot is working OK. Anyone knows how to fix it this small shit?

That was most likely due to the sensor on the earpiece area of the iphone that detects when someone is holding their phone up to their ear. when this happens it turns off the display to save power while you are talking on the phone.

What about original AT&T card
Hi Sick Mic & Everbody else!
Thanks for you tips on how to use hypercard. I still have a question. Do you have to do anything with the original AT&T card? Would this procedure work as well with O2 iphone?
Thanks and regards,
Victor
