Yup, I think its a great solution especially considering the dualsim aspect. My main number's company doesnt offer unlimited internet (not for prepaid phones anyway) but another company here does, so, I plan to use the other companies sim when I need to go online and use my regular sim for calls etc (too many people know my old number to switch)

How do you know what version card you have?

Well, if your card supports 3g/umts then is definitely not a v1. In Germany they stopped giving out v1 in mid 2002 afaik.
I'm not so sure about this v1 statement anymore though, because on the Hyper Card site it says:
"Support all GSM SIM cards with iPHONE."

It seems I have good news for everyone who wants to use a hypercard with a v2 or v3 sim card.
According to this site
http://www.iphone-hacks.com/2007/09/...it-hyper-card/
the Hyper-Card works with v3 sim cards.
Can sb. verify that?

Basically:
1. Downgrade 1.1.2 to 1.1.1 in order to install octoprep
2. Install octoprep
3. Upgrade back to 1.1.2
4. Jailbreak with Independence
5. Cut your old sim. I worried that I had cut too much to get it to fit, but it was fine.
6. Insert. Make sure you assemble it all so that it's totally flat. I didn't the first time and it was too thick to get in the slot comfortably. I took it out, pressed on it and made sure the sims were properly seated and then put it in without a problem.
7. Instrall Iworld and choose your country
9. If youtube doesn't work: Run youtube fix.
There are much better tutorials out there, but the above is just to give you a rough idea of what's involved. Took me about 30 minutes from start to finish and was very straight-forward.
U're saying that there is no need for programing anything? No special hardware no special software needed? Just cut both SIMs AT&T and YourSim, put in Hyper and put in iPhone and its working 100%?

Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. No programming, no special hardware, no special software except for iworld and the youtube fix if needed. Works perfectly 100%.
