Default [1.1.2] Jailbreak automatically updates to 1.1.3?

I have a week 49 iPhone still in its box because I was waiting to receive my xxxSim before I opened it. If I jailbreak it today or tomorrow, is it going to automatically update it to 1.1.3? Just to reiterate, it is still sealed in its box. Should I jailbreak it ASAP or is there not a problem?

it is not going to automatically update to 1.1.3. - AND YOU SHOULD IN NO WAY LET ITUNES DO THAT!

just follow the tutorials flying around here, they will tell you how to downgrade to 1.1.1 and update back to 1.1.2
    iPhone US W46 OTB 1.1.2
-> fully restored to 1.1.3 with iTunes
-> fully unlocked to carrier blau.de with ZiPhone

Sorry to tell you this, but you are somewhat wrong. My iPhone has been trying to upgrade to 1.1.3 BY ITSELF AND WITHOUT MY PERMISSION, but since I don't have a wifi connection or EDGE, I was safe. Unbelievable, I know... but I have a week 51 :S

ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCE THESE ATTEMPTED AUTOMATIC UPDATES????

You must download the 112 restore file,
then option klick on update and select the 112 restore file.

Maybe you have the 112 restore file on your computer.
On a Mac it is in Home - Library - iTunes - iPhone software updates.

This is what you need to do. Download the 1.1.2. HERE and then when you downgrade to 1.1.1. jailbreak and oktoprep, SHIFT + RIGHT CLICK on the "UPDATE" button in iTunes. NOT RESTORE, because that will just wipe the oktoprep files.

It will let you choose your 1.1.2. file to update to and then you can activate and jailbreak from there.

Now for these people that say your phone is trying to update itself. Just turn off auto update in itunes preferences AND rename some empty .txt files to iPhone1,1_1.1.3_4A93_Restore.ipsw and iPhone1,1_1.1.3_4A93_Restore.ipsw.download. THEN change properties to read-only. That way when itunes tries to download the 1.1.3. it will get a permission error.

Then just toss those dummy files into the download path that itunes uses to download the updates:

C:/documents and settings/[yourusername]/Application Data/Apple Computer/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates under Windows XP

    C:/users/[yourusername]/AppData/Roaming/Apple Computer/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates
    under Windows Vista

so your iPhone automatically tried to upgrade itself to 1.1.3, but didnt succeed because WIFI and EDGE were turned off? Man, you are really one lucky guy.
