Hey guys,

My new iphone arrived this morning and nextsim came with it. i followed instructions on cutting the sim, putting next sim on my sim and inserting it. The message i got was "no simcard installed"

I then found some instructions online which said to use nextsim properly, you must jailbreak your phone. again i followed instructions, proceeded to put my fone into revoery mod, downgraded to version 1.1.1, then "jailbroke" the phone with the software.

Here is the problem. Now when i turn my phone on i get the following message: "activate iphone, connect to itunes. No Sim Installed. insert an unlocked and valid sim".

I also get the following message when logging into itunes after connecting the phone to the usb cable:
"The iphone cannot be used with itunes because the sim card is pin locked or uninstalled. You must enter your sim pin or insert your sim card into your iphone to activate it"

PLEASE tell me what ive done wrong, and how i can fix it. im really scared ive totally screwed it up and thrown £400 down the drain.

Your advice wil be greatly appreciated.

hey man try to use your sim card in another phone, and try to remove the PIN code. and then do restore with the fw that you are using should fix the problem.

yeah my sim works perfect in any other phone, and it doesnt have a sim lock on it either. I have a next sim here but i cant for the life of me get it working.

Can anybody give me an exact step by step set of instructions on how i can unlock my iphone so i can at least start using it with my o2 PAYG sim card?

Like i said, ill pay anybody who can literally give me an "idots list" on what i need to do in order to unlock it and start using it.

You must activate and jailbreak the iphone before, and it seems that the process will not be successfull.
You can go to the iphone - Unlock forum and you will know the way to do it.

When iphone will be activated and jailbreaked, next sim should work.

why are you using a nextsim on a 1.1.1 anyway?

if it really is a 1.1.1otb u dont need nextsim.

if it was originally a 1.1.2 and you downgraded then tried the nextsim it wont work like that, you need to finish jailbreaking the phone and run oktoprep from the installer then upgrade back to 1.1.2 and run the jailbreak again then use your nextsim.

should work fine like that.
