Youtube videos to iPhone guide.
Ok, some might say that this has been posted like 279936 times, but here it is again, whether you like it or not!
So you've seen this video on youTube, like to show your friends without an internet connection nearby?
- Well now you've got the complete N00B guide to download and sync 'em to your iPhone.
All programs in this guide is free, and have no requirements or limitations.
The following programs will be needed for this guide:
- Internet explorer, Mozilla firefox or Safari web browsers.
- iTunes. (Latest version, 7.6.2.9 has been released today, which I prefer) http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
- Xilisoft youTube video downloader. http://www.xilisoft.com/downloads/x-...tube-video.exe
- Red kawa - Videora iPhone Converter. (Specially made for iPhone) http://dw.com.com/redir?edId=3&siteI...3Ddl-VideoraiP
- iPhone version 1.0.2 or above. (Yes, 1.1.4 is supported)
The guide:
Step 1
Once you have downloaded and installed the needed programs, fire up Xilisoft youTube video downloader.
A little, almost invisible icon will appear in the upper right corner. (Don’t worry, this will disappear when you shut down the program)
It should look like this:

Let's say you want that "canon rock" video from youTube.
Drag the http:// icon into the Xilisoft icon
By the http:// icon I mean this one:

Xilisoft should now open in a new window and the video should be downloading.
When it’s done downloading go find the file in the destination to secure that you've got the file...
Shut down Xilisoft youTube video downloader or leave it open your call...
Step 2
Since almost no computers or no iPhone can read the file, we would have to convert the file into .mpeg4.
So fire up Videora iPhone converter.
Click the "Convert - video file" button or the "convert" tab then the video file tab.

Or

If you're a N00b or a beginner at converting and don't know much about file types and such, then choose "Normal mode" otherwise choose "Power mode".
Press the "Select file" button as shown, to select the video file we downloaded earlier. Once found press "select file again to continue to the next step.
Next press the "Browse" button as shown, to select the output folder or in other (easier) words, where you want the new video file to be placed when you’re done.
Choose whatever you like, again your call.
Press next.
If you want the output video file to have another name, then write that in the "Title" box as shown.
Press next again.
Now you can choose if you want the video to be super quality or whatever you like, just remember, the better quality, the larger the output file will be.
If you want it to fit on your iPhone/iPod remember to toggle video size to "iPod".
Press next again...
Now press the "start converting" in the lower right corner.
Press view conversion progress to see how far you are.
You are now done making the video.
Final step:
Go to the new video file and open it with iTunes.
Connect your iPhone.
Drag the video file into your iPhone/iPod..
Disconnect the iPhone/iPod...
Show your friends, how great Jerry C is at playing "Canon rock" and enjoy your new videos and probably new friends.

Recently I found a simple solution that requires no additional software.
For example you are watching some video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQ05YSAm69s
Just add mp4 before .com in the address and go to that address:
http://www.youtubemp4.com/watch?v=CQ05YSAm69s
You will get a direct link on that page:
http://www.youtubemp4.com/video/CQ05YSAm69s.mp4
Save it As... And you're done!
You can drop this file to iTunes and sync it to iPhone. No weird software, no video conversion. This trick downloads a video version for iPhone's YouTube application actually.
