Default [XLaunch] How can I install Xlaunch on 1.1.3 iPhone?

    Hello All,

I noticed that under 1.1.3 there is no longer an XLaunch install instance under Installer. I was able to download XLaunch-0.23.zip from Erica's site and I was able to extract the XLaunch.app folder but I am not sure where I should place this folder in order for me to use XLaunch. In the XLaunch.app folder are the following files:

    Default.png
    Done.aiff
    icon.png
    Info.plist
    PkgInfo
    unknown.png
    xlaunch

    Any ideas? Thanks,

    BD6675

Oh dear... right then, you need to place the whole xlaunch.app folder in the /Applications directory on your iPhone... also make sure the xlaunch executable inside the .app folder has the right permissions!

Once I drop the xlaunch.app folder in the /Applications directory how can I actually run the program? Will I see it in Installer at that point or does it show up somewhere else?

Also, what permissions need to be set on the xlaunch exe?

Hi, try this. i jus got it working. Taken from ManiacX.Thanks

    1) Download Term-vt100 via installer
    2) Install BSD subsystem
    3) Launch Term-vt100
    4) cd to path
    5) type chmod (permissions) (filename)
    eg. cd /Applications/Installer.app/
    chmod 777 ./installer

Thanks for the replies. I was able to get the latest version of XLaunch installed but it seems that you can no longer toggle visibility on icons on the springboard. Is this correct? Can someone confirm?
