    Wink Just a Quick Check

    Have you enabled SSH?

make sure you enable SSH on your iphone and have BSD Subsystem installed, and find the right ip number by going to settings>Wi-Fi> and clicking on the blue arrow of the network that you are connected.

Write down the Ip and in WinSCP as host name write that ip. Username as root and password "alpine" (set as default)

first try using SFTP as file protocol. If that doesn't work, try the next one which should be SCP if not then try FTP until one of them works.

I notice that with the latest version of WinSCP, after the 15 second initial timeout it will give an error. Just click "Reconnect" and it should work the second time around.

Also helps if you have OpenSSH installed and enabled.

    Hi Guys,

Still not working, I think I nearly tried everything. Is there a chance that Norton Internet Security is messing up the connection?

    Thanks

    Exclamation

if you're on 1.1.3, you will need bsd subsystem 2.0. erase open ssh, install bsd 2.0, exit installer, restart your phone, install openssh again. IN THAT ORDER.

    that should do it.

Are you sure you have wi-fi connection? Please Open Safari on your iPhone and try to open any web page. If the page Open (load) without problem you have to install the new BSD system and SSHOpen

    Default Ssh

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the OPENSSH app on the iphone.
I had the same problem. However, I did a restore which reset SSH settings so I had to change it back.
To do so, just go to Cydia, select search, enter OpenSSH, click modify, click remove, and then repeat process, but this time click INSTALL (where it said modify before).

Done. You should have SSH access now.
    Good luck.
