Yes I can do everything via WiFi with my phone.
I cant SSH into my phone that is it.

My phone sees he WiFi network and uses it with no problem its just trying to winSCP in.

Its got to be the router, because if I restore and try I still cant get in.
Also this is a problem with my iTouch as well.

    Thanks

Additionally I have just found that I can get into my phone via iBrickr, as well as iPhoneBrowser.
Its just winSCP which I use ALL the time and is a lot friendlier in my opinion.

    Thanks

I was wondering if my additional information offered anything to attempt to narrow down what is actually going on here?

In the mean while I decided to do was the following:
I ONLY unplugged the power to the Airport, taking down my entire WiFi network:
(please remember that my WiFi network for ALL was working as well as the wireless printer, I just could not connect to my phone via winSCP).

So I unplugged the Airport for a minute, then I reapplied power to it.
The airport light went amber and within about 2 minutes the light went green and my WiFi network was back up and running.

This is what is strange to me:
NO changes were applied to the iPhone, Airport, or the network I just power cycled the Airport off and one.
After the Airport cycled back on (green light) I could ssH into my phone via winSCP...

I just want to know why I have to do this every week or so, so maybe I can fix why this happens????

I can not reproduce this it just happens at will.

    Thanks

    Thanks

    7.3.1...

Only other thing I noticed is that when this happens even though ALL devices work via WiFi The Airport utility program can not detect the Airport.
Yet I am connected to my network and can download upload tho the internet.

    Strange

Ok i see, i had some strange similar issues especially when i have a USB Device (Hard Disk or Printer) connected to the Base Station.

In fact it is not only SSH (port 22) that is not accessible but the iPhone Network Interface itself. Try to ping your phone from your computer when the problem occurs.

The problem comes from the Airport.
Try to downgrade to the previous Firmware (7.2.1) in the Airport Utility.

Yes I do have a USB printer attached to the Airport Base Station.

I will try to pint form computer to iPhone when this occurs again.

THANK YOU for all your support.
    I will advise upon pinging.

    Thanks again

Just to throw this out. I have worked with at least four apple basestation all would need a manual power cycle occasionally until the units were placed on a UPS. This of course may not be your problem, but it would indicate to me that slight power fluctuations can cause issues for the units.

    Ok well its happening again.
I tried to ping the phone and received a request timed out with 4 bytes sent, 0 bytes received, 4 lost.

    Hence no communication available.
I can surf the net via my WiFi, with all computers in the house.
I am connected as well with my phone, and have surfed the net Safari, refreshed my Sources within Installer all over my WiFi (Airport).
    Just cant connect SSH/winSCP.

Any other ideas before I unplug my Airport and power cycle?

Also everything is plugged into a UPS unit.

I can now add this to the event: When I go into Airport Utility it says no Apple device can be found.
This would make more sense to me if I was not able to post this message since this computer is working of the Airport at the same time that all this is happening.
It is up and running in other words.

    Thanks
