Move your Applications folder to /private/var/Applications and place a symlink on your root folder. Enjoy

Step by step for the newbs:

    1. Log in through Putty

    2. Write cd /

    3. write mv /Applications /private/var/Applications

    4. write ln -s /private/var/Applications Applications

    5. Ejoy unlimited space

Note this will use up space in your MEDIA partition, instead of the smaller root, which means it will share space with your music, etc.

ok i'm really dead now ( someone stops by this post please help me (

ok, i have my iphone working and cool. then i saw this. however i'm on my friend's Mac at school, so i don't have WinSCP nor Putty. I tried to look around (but didn't find anything same) so i tried the step 3 and 4 with vt1000 (Terminal, found on App Installer), after i reboot my iPhone it's blank. no sigh, nothing... can't redo what i've done? someone has any idea about what i've done and how to solve this? my phone was just unlocked this morning and i don't want to go thru the whole same process again

    thanks in advance

    Hi,

on your friend's Mac you would use Terminal for that. SSH into your iphone and get the link right. You probably messed something up by adding or missing a / anywhere along the process.

    Cheers,
    Budy

it's hardly unlimited space and also the ln -s should be /Applications at the end and not Applications.

    Cheers,

Use the following command. No permission problem.

    cd /
    cp -Rp Applications /var/root/Applications

    >>Use WinSCP to delete /Applications/ directory

    ln -s /var/root/Applications/

    DONE!
