    Question Syncing Problem

I have a problem syncing my iphone 3G, 2.1 pwned, BB 1.45.00. When I connect to usb, itunes freezes and so does the iphone. Nothing happens until I unplug it. It then flashes the summary page briefly and goes back to normal. It did this on 2.0 unpwned as well. The only way I could restore was by putting in DFU mode. I've got the latest version of itunes running on Vista. I've tried restoring but it still doesn't pick it up. It obviously can detect it as it shows the correct screen but seems unstable. I've tried another usb port and reinstalling itunes. It fixed it before when I deleted the itunes_control folder from the iphone and set up as a new user but only worked for about three syncs until stopping again. Any suggestions what could be causing this?

Em not sure but if you have another PC I would try connecting it to that one..

At least that way you know 100% if its a phone or computer related issue

No, it's definately the iphone. I've tried it on an XP laptop as well - not to the same extent though, only briefly but itunes didn't recognise it either.

Maybe an issue with the Phone's connectors. If you clean the "botty" of your phone with alcohol or one of those air blowers for computer parts, does it get better?

Installing Cydia programs on a phone that has no internet connection: read this.

Editing binary .plist, .strings, .nib and .xib files:
    * on your computer: Windows tool / conversion website.
    * on your iPhone: convert those files in a terminal with plutil (installed with Erica Utilities) or edit them with iFile (Cydia links).

I deleted the itunes_control folder and now it syncs every time I connect it up but it is really, really slow. It took about 4 hours to sync 10 apps then itunes stopped responding so I disconnected. I've tried to sync again about 10 times with the same result. It only works very slowly, if at all. Does anyone know what could be causing this? Restoring didn't make a difference.
