Default [Sync] iPhone/iTunes won't sync photos. SOLVED

Hi guys, I came across this error last week. I was running 1.1.4 fw on my unlocked 2g iPhone using iLiberty.

I tried syncing some iPhone wallpapers from my PC to my iPhone and noticed that it wouldn't sync. Whenever I tried to sync my photos to my iPhone it would keep saying "Syncing iPhone..." I'd let it do it's thing but after 10 minutes it still did the same thing.

I thought there was something wrong with my PC so I did a reboot but I still got the same problem.

I thought there was something corrupt with my iPhone so I decided to run WinPwn and load the 2.0.1 fw following the tutorial on iClarified. Everything went smoothly but I still can't sync photos to my iPhone. I keep getting the same error and the sync goes on forever.

Can somebody help me? I've tried searching for a solution on Google and hackintosh but nothing came up

    Thanks

I solved my picture syncing issue

I removed the "iPod Photo Cache" folder from "My Pictures" folder and everything synced fine.

Default I think I got it!!

At least for me. I have been working on this for a couple weeks and google searches have not been much help. I was able to put a few different tips together from multiple websites and figured out a solution.

I am using an iMac intel core 2 duo running itunes 9.0.2 and Mac OS X 10.6.2

My problem was that my multiple ipods and iphone would stop syncing properly. They would all start out syncing and then stop with a (-50) Error. I searched EVERYWHERE for the (-50) error description and found nothing related to the mac. Only a few unanswered problems related to Windows XP. Now onto the solution I found.

In one post, I found a person suggest syncing only one thing at a time in iTunes. One time I did a music sync only, the next time I did movie sync only and so on. It turns out that the photos were the only thing that would not sync properly. So I searched for iphoto syncing problems.

I found an interesting post (forget where). The person said to open the pictures folder in the home folder. Find the "iPhoto Library" and right click it to "show package contents". Inside there find "AlbumData.xml" Right click it and "Open with" - "Safari". Safari can read that file and tell you if there are any errors in the .xml. I had a red bar at the top stating that I had some "Parse" error. I searched that and did little help, since I am not a computer guy.

In the red box it gave the line and column of the error. Safari makes it easy and only types out the code up until the error. Which is enormously helpful because there are THOUSANDS of lines. I do not understand the code, but the last error had something to do a slideshow, so I opened the iPhoto application and deleted my slideshows. Closed iPhoto and iTunes. Relaunched iPhoto and went back and checked on that "AlbumData.xml" file again. This time Safari read no errors so I launched iTunes.

AT LAST IT WORKS!!! Everything is syncing fine now.

I know that this is a VERY long post, but I hope it helps someone from the time consuming craziness I went through.

I deleted the iPod Photo Cache folder itself with iTunes being closed (of course) and it solved my problem when I went to go sync afterwards.

Sorry for the revival of this thread, I just got hella excited that I fixed this annoying problem.

    Wink Like a Charm

Deleted iPod Cache and viola! My iPhone syncs photos again without that cannot find the file issue.

You all rock! I am so glad we all work together to get these issues resolved. There is no community like the Mac community.

    Thank you all!
