In her tuaw.com posting of 12/18/07, Erica gives the three steps for setting up her Settings Control Application (http://www.tuaw.com/2007/12/18/tuaw-...ings-screens/). All three steps involve secure shell access to my iPhone's command line, something I nothing nothing about but am willing to learn.

I'd greatly appreciate someone helping me get started in executing Erica's three steps.

Erica's first step is:

1. Start by backing up your /Applications/ Preferences.app/ Settings-iPhone.plist file. Make sure you copy the file to a safe place so you can recover it if needed.

What exact command string do I use to copy that file and what command string to save it in a safe place?

What Software are you running and are you jailbroken?

I'm working with Mac OS 10.4.11 and using Cyberduck 2.6.2.

Cyberduck 2.6.2. iPhone jailbroken and unlocked.

Make that Cyberduck 2.8.2 (latest release).
