try it this way:
ssh root@192.168.X.Y (where x.y are the final parts of the ip address of the iphone)
or
ssh -lroot -p 22 192.168.X.Y (opposed to windows, the ssh client of MacOs does not use ":" as separator the same way telnet does
)

Hi, I always go in that way. That's how I got the screenshot of me in it in the first shot. I also tried the way you said secondly and it went in that way also, but it will not let me do it via any 3rd party SSH application.
What gives with that?

I will be damned.........

NO idea how that happened! I have been SSh'ing to this phone since the 1.0.2 days and never has the snitch blocked port 22, it appears as if it did it randomly.
Checking that was my last resort. Obviously the issue, works like a charm now.
