    Default [Ringtones] Custom 1.1.3

I am running legit 1.1.3 4.03 BB non - JB iPHone

I have heard that converting to AAC and renaming to m4r works for my type of phone

iTunes recognizes the ringtones and when I sync it syncs something and when I look on my iPhone the ringtone is not there!

the ringtone is exactly 30 secs long!!

    what am I doing wrong?

    thanks

it also shows that the ringtone is on my iPhone when I click the down arrow next to the iPhone icon under ringtones

I think that your ringtones do not have a good format. I have a 1.1.3 Dev jailbreak and I using iTunes 7.6 and my ringtones are on my iPhone and I can hear them.

And for create my ringtones I make them from *.mp3 files convert them to *.mp4a and then rename them.

I have a folder named My Ringtones in Music Folder in my PC I put my *.mp4r in this folder and I double cklick each one and iTunes open and my ringtones appear on the iTunes Ringtones folder. Sync to my iPhone and Voila!!!

I have a 1.1.3 phone w/ iTunes 7.6 and have found that a free program called iRinger works perfectly (if you are on Windows XP/Vista). You just run it, import an mp3 and make any needed changes in duration/fading in or out, then click export and it exports the propper ringtone file to iTunes.

Then you just sync your phone and you are good to go - works on my phone at least! Just google 'iringer' to find the DL page.
