Windows port of iphuc
I've gotten a port of iphuc working on windows. It's only been tested on XP, no clue about vista. One known bug - doing a mount command with the verbose option (-v) segfaults. Just dont use -v durring jailbreak and you can avoid it. I have tested all of the "normal" shell functions and they work for me. It can be used to jailbreak using the instructions for iphuc on the wiki. Included with the binary is a filestructure that you just need to plop in the dlls and firmware and run the jailbreak.cmd file. It is available at http://iphucwin32.googlecode.com
I kept the unix *nix file reference structure intact for compatability with the OSX version. The only known difference is that grestore always assumes that you are giving it a relative path. You can look at the jailbreak.script file to see what I mean.
It also requires the readline5.dll, you can download it from the link on the wiki. I hope to figure out gnu tools enough to do a static link of readline sometime soon.
Fantastic! Thanks! Now all us poor iPhone users stuck on Windows (hey, we can't all use Macs as our desktop machine) have access to some great software for the iPhone.
why do i get the Putfile error in windows cmd when am running iphuc
I don't know, have you run the command with -vd to get all the information? If that doesn't help you figure it out then post an issue on google code with the output and I'll take a look at it.
New Binary and source update for iTunes 7.4.140 posted.
