[Problem] [Sync] Apps downloaded via appstore won't sync with iPhone

Apps downloaded to iTunes won't sync with iPhone, although they show up under "applications" in the iTunes library listing. Likewise, apps installed directly to the touch do not sync back to iTunes, and there is no applications folder under the device listing for the touch. Apps installed directly to the touch function fine, but there is no backup or syncing of applications. I've deleted and re-created the backup file, reset and restarted the touch and the PC, and deauthorize/re-authorized the PC. No change in outcome. Also tried double-clicking the app icons in the iTunes applications tab, but this did not produce any results. I have iP 2.1 JB +MobileInstallation patch and iT 8.0.1. Should i restore the iP? I get info from my provider that this is iTunes problem and suggestion to reinstall iTunes but i did it many times already without any result. Please help.

Did u uninstall itunes only or all other apple SW like quick time etc

Yes, i've uninstalled all apple software using this instruction and installed iTunes 8.0.1 and all here: http://km.support.apple.com/library/...cationstab.jpg in grey/unavailable.

Problem solved. Goto "Setting => General => Restrictions" i had "New Applications" enabled. If You can't synchronize some things, check these settings at first.

Hi, I have this same problem. I purchased an app and it is under Applications in iTunes (8.0.2). However, it wont seem to sync with the iPhone?

apps won't sync to 3G--solved?

iPhone 3G still have this problem, although a previous post solved it: download a free app and [at least today] the missing apps appear.

I downloaded none-free iPhone Apps (offered by this site) freely. These are PXL files. How can them be synced or managed through iTune?
