iTunes was unable to load dataclass information from Sync Services!

Ok i am using iTunes 7.7 running on Win XP Pro.
Earlier I was running itunes 7.6.2.9 I was getting the same error and though maybe if I upgrade it will go. but it didnt!

We all know there is a discussion going on on Apple.com support but it has lead nowhere!

Please anyone! What is wrong? How do I fix the issue. I cannot use my iPhone without iTunes! It just doesnt sync and shows no options! See the pic. No arrow beside iPhone and this is where it gives the above error!

Finally got my hands on an iPhone and switched from VZ only to find the same issue on what should be a simple install. Followed all the words of wisdom found related to this issue - updated XP to SP 3, removed all traces of iTunes, cleaned the registry etc. etc. etc. and still get the same message.

Unfortunately I have to use a PC for work so any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?

hey man .. i used to have the same problem and tried everythng from reinstalling iTunes and deleteing all files etc .. the solution that worked was to sync with another iTunes in a total different PC ull lose data but ull be able to sync again with the desired Pc as the prob seems to be in the iphone syc files not the pc

yup..mine started working after i upgraded to v2.0 from v1.1.4
since then...i have no problem!
