I tried on 2 different systems now, anybody had any success??
Both systems have Dev-C++ 4.9.9.2, OpenSSL 0.9.8e, and Quicktime SDK installed ,per the README.src file

independance is a mac application....
Hmmm, then why does the README.src file include this;
** Windows **
Requirements: Dev-C++, OpenSSL 0.9.8e, QuickTime SDK
1) Download the MobileDevice.h header file and put it in Public Headers/MobileDevice/
2) Open iNdependence/iNdependence.dev in Dev-C++ and edit the include and library paths to match your build setup.
3) Build it. This will produce iNdependence.exe in the iNdependence/Win32 directory.
4) Open your favorite shell, navigate to the iNdependence/Win32 directory, and type:
If using MSYS: ./iNdependence.sh
If using DOS prompt: ./iNdependence.bat
You should see a list of commands you can perform.
** MobileDevice.h **

You'll need to modify a couple of function definitions in the stock version of that file to get libPhoneInteraction to compile.
No idea...
Why do you not ask the "operator". He hangs around on the board and is the author of said works.
He only offers pre-compiled binaries for mac on his google code website however.
Have a look here:

I finally just put my copy of MobileDevice.h up on the wiki. So that should make things much easier.
Sorry, super busy at the moment, so I don't have time to discuss it, but with those instructions you should be able to get something going. The Windows code has not been updated for the 1.1.1 jailbreak, so you'll need to figure that out from the Mac code and port it over.

so any result?
Trust me, it'll take longer than 5 minutes to get it working on Windows. It'd probably take me about a day or two of work to get the Windows code working again (and working with 1.1.1) -- and I'm very familiar with it.
However, after that, the problem of no SSH by default on Windows will be very difficult to solve. On Mac I just script the version of SSH that comes installed by default with Mac OS to do a lot of stuff -- I have no idea how I'd do that on Windows. The only option I think is to compile your own versions of SSH and SFTP and include those.
Sorry to say, but the UNIX tools that come with every Mac OS installation make things much easier for developers. Windows doesn't come with anything like that.

It relies on Apple's MobileDevice framework/library to interact with the phone, so only Mac and Windows for now unless someone can port MobileDevice over to another OS (there was talk a while ago, but I've heard nothing about it since).
Hasn't anyone gotten Mac OS working under VMWare yet? I thought I heard something about that a while ago.Quote:
I'm much better in that arena, I f*in' hate Windows, just can't afford a MAC right now.
Other than that, I'm sure you can pick up a second hand or refurbed mini for cheap.
